Hello dear readers (*reader - me )
This week in art theory we were to choose an art piece that has been famous through history and make a modern version of it. This is my work.
It is, as I assume you can tell, the Scream ( Edward Munch), but set into a different context. The reason for my choice of how to make the new piece, was that today my school had a so calles Inter House Song Competition, which is basically an event where all houses ( - think Harry Potter - ) come together and sing. My House, Pavlov, had the song Pompeii, by Bastille. I have been conducting the 180 students that Pavlov consists of, and I have put in so much hard work into organising this. In addition to the song competition, music is what I live and will die for.
These to reasons made it obvious for me that I had to include music in one way or another.
Here's the result:
Regarding the IHC song competition, sadly we did not win, though it was close. But it's ok. It's ok, because I am still in denial <3 I will isolate myself tonight. I have spat a little anger around me today on my closest friendos. Tomorrow I'll deal with some more anger ( Yes, I am a teenager - an angry little being ), some bargaing, depression and finally, next semester when we win the Inter House Ensemble Competition, and the IHC dance, I'll see if I can accept what didn't happen tonight. Though I will never forgive the other Houses. I want worthy opponents, and I want to beat them. Crush them. Shatter all of their dreams. I am a loving person <3
Jokes aside, Curie won this year's Song competition, and I will never be able to lead Pavlov to victory in song (unless I stalk them after I've graduated next year), but Curie did have a brilliant performance, and they truly deserved the trophy. Bubye IHC song trophy, I love you </3
